It is only 10 weeks now till the team of 22 leave on 28th December for Kenya. Some are going for the first
time while others are making return visits.
Our project this time was to raise £25, 000 for staff housing and we have almost our target.
We will be taking small toys, pens and pencils rubbers ect. as usual this time but we have found that there is more and more that we can buy in Embu. It makes sense for us to buy things there and put money into the Kenyan economy. We would like to be able to provide a lunch box for all the children to take to school. They cost the equivalent of £5 (including a water bottle) so we are asking people to 'sponsor a lunch box'. If you would like to support us in this way please let me know.
would like to say a special thank you to all who supported my 24hour fast For John Muchiri I raised £370 plus £100 donation from men's breakfast and £100 anonymous. With money received from others in the team I was able to send £1,000 towards the cost of Johns transplant. He himself had a very successful fund raising day so plans are now being finalised for his operation.
Date for your diary: 4th December ‘Open House’ @ 58 Peverells Wood Avenue.
Thank you for your continued support and prayers
